Under The Amber Lights returns to Vice & Virtue Brewing on Wednesday, October 28th, and this time the glow is coming from one of the Okanagan’s most exciting emerging voices. Kelowna-based alt-country artist Shalisa takes the stage from 7 to 9pm, and there is no cover charge. It’s a great option for live music in Kelowna, whether you’re a longtime country fan, a casual listener, or someone who just wants a good reason to get out on a Wednesday.
Country girl gone rogue, Shalisa is blazing her own trail across Canada’s music scene with a blend of soul, grit, and heart. Known for her powerhouse vocals and raw storytelling, she has quickly become one of the most talked-about voices in alt-country. Born and raised in Alberta and now based in Kelowna, she has built a loyal following through independent releases, relentless hustle, and a genuine connection with her fans.
Her breakout single “Bad Hangover” put her on the map, passing 250,000 streams and climbing to the #1 spot on the Canadian Indie Country Countdown. Her sound pairs old-school country charm with modern pop attitude, and her songs hit as hard as they heal. Her latest release, “Don’t Make Me,” is one of her personal favourites, and she has more than 30 new songs in the pipeline as she digs deeper into her original sound.
