An intimate night of folk, roots, and storytelling under warm amber lights
“Under the Amber Lights” continues at Vice & Virtue Brewing with a special live performance by Michael Averill on Wednesday, April 22 from 7pm to 9pm.
Set within the warm and inviting atmosphere of Vice & Virtue, this live music series offers a more intimate way to experience live music in Kelowna. Designed to complement an evening of elevated dining and drinks, these performances create the perfect backdrop for conversation, connection, and a relaxed midweek night out.
Performing live is Michael Averill, an adventurous Canadian troubadour known for his engaging presence and well-travelled sound rooted in folk, blues, and roots music. Averill’s journey is as compelling as his songs. Over the course of eight years, he walked more than 4000 miles across Canada on a tour titled “I’d Rather Walk,” building a reputation as one of the country’s most community-driven and engaging performers.
On stage, Michael brings a dynamic and unpredictable performance style. His sets move effortlessly between gritty slide guitar grooves shaped by life on the road and lighthearted, relatable songs that draw audiences in with humour and charm. His ability to shift between raw intensity and playful storytelling makes each performance feel unique and memorable.
“Under the Amber Lights” is about slowing things down and creating space to enjoy live music in a more personal setting. Whether you are joining for dinner, sharing a bottle of wine, or enjoying a cocktail or house-brewed beer, the evening offers a relaxed and intimate live music experience in Kelowna.
