Country folk storytelling with blues soul and rock energy
Under The Amber Lights Live Music Series returns to Vice & Virtue Brewing on Wednesday, August 5 from 7 to 9pm with a free live performance by Lighthouse Rd..
Built on friendship, shared experiences, and a love of storytelling, Lighthouse Rd. brings together lifelong friends Wesley on lead vocals and guitar, Eric on piano and harmonica, Huey on bass, and Brandon on drums. After years of jamming together, the band officially formed in 2025, transforming a long standing musical connection into a project rooted in authenticity and purpose.
Their sound blends the heartfelt storytelling of folk music with the grit of country, the soul of the blues, and the energy of rock and roll. The result is a style that feels both familiar and refreshing, balancing thoughtful songwriting with powerful musicianship and memorable melodies.
At the heart of Lighthouse Rd.’s music is a desire to create connection. Their songs explore the experiences, challenges, and emotions that unite us, offering listeners a sense of comfort and belonging. Much like the band’s namesake, their music aims to be a guiding light through life’s uncertainties, helping people feel seen, understood, and a little more grounded.
With four musicians sharing a deep personal history, there is a natural chemistry to every performance. Audiences can expect rich harmonies, dynamic instrumentation, and the kind of genuine camaraderie that only comes from years of making music together.
The spirit of Lighthouse Rd. is perfectly suited to an evening at Vice & Virtue. Gather with friends over locally crafted beer, enjoy a selection of chef crafted dishes, and experience a night of music that celebrates connection, community, and the stories that bring us together. Whether you are a fan of country, folk, blues, or rock, this promises to be a memorable evening of live music in Kelowna’s North End brewery district.
Reservations are recommended.
