Under the Amber Lights Featuring Cal Volpe
Wednesday, March 11 at 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm
Where retro soul meets modern groove.
Under the Amber Lights returns to Vice & Virtue Brewing on Wednesday, March 11th with an intimate live performance from Cal Volpe.
Hailing from Port Coquitlam, BC, Cal Volpe is a guitarist, singer, songwriter, and live looper whose sound bridges eras with effortless cool. Blending the timeless energy of classic rock, folk, and blues with the smooth textures of modern R&B and hip-hop, Cal creates a guitar-driven landscape that feels both nostalgic and forward-thinking.
Expect rhythmic guitar work reminiscent of John Mayer, lyrical introspection that nods to Mac Miller, and melodic sensibilities inspired by artists like Ed Sheeran — all layered live through looping and dynamic performance. Cal’s sets move fluidly between groove-heavy moments and stripped-back vulnerability, making the room feel smaller, warmer, and more connected.
Under the soft glow of amber light and with a drink in hand, this free midweek show is designed for slow sips, close listening, and music that lingers.
No cover. Just good beer, good wine, and great songs.
