Mike Edel is a Canadian singer-songwriter and producer based in Bellingham, WA, crafting folk and Americana records defined by open space and lyrics that look directly at things. His music has been described as feeling like a late drive and a long exhale, unhurried, honest, and deeply felt.
Edel came to this chapter of his career more clear-eyed and deliberate after a stroke reshaped his relationship with music and what he wanted to say. That pursuit, finding the grit and grace in ordinary life and turning it into something that comforts, moves, and tells the truth, runs through everything he makes. Beyond recording, he has written songs for film and directed his own feature documentary. With over 10 million streams, 1,000 live shows, and placements on SiriusXM’s The Verge, The Loft, and North Americana, as well as CBC Radio and ABC’s American Idol, Edel has built a dedicated following across North America and Europe.
